The August Symphony Orchestra is a 501C (3) corporation whose mission is to provide charitable, scientific, or educational activities for the benefit of the communities and residents of the New Jersey region.  The activities are intended to stimulate an interest and appreciation of symphonic music and to provide amateur, professional and retired musicians of all ages the opportunity to enhance their experience as members of an orchestra.  This will be carried out through activities such as public performances of symphonic music. The vision of the August Symphony is to bring arts in the form of classic music and related genres to the local community. This will be achieved by giving local musicians (professional, amateur and students) the opportunity to perform in the orchestra or as soloists and to provide at least one free concert per year open to all members of the community.  We will sustain this with the support of volunteers, private and corporate donations and funding from arts organizations.

“Made possible by funds from the Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.”
